Monday 1st April, 12 pm to 4 pm - John’s Club Community Easter Egg Hunt Extravaganza, Oakfield Football Club, Ryde, PO33 1EG

We are joining John’s Club for their annual Family Fun Day. There will be an Easter egg hunt, facepainter, DJ, penalty shoot out and a variety of stalls – a great family day out. We will be there with games to play and our lovely puppies to say hello to.

Sunday 14th April, 12 pm to 4 pm - Ability Dogs Fun Dog Show, Training Centre, Sandown Airport, Lake, PO36 0JP

Join us for our first Fun Dog Show! There will be a variety of categories for you to enter with your dog(s), just ÂŁ2.00 suggested donation per dog per category. There will also be tea & coffee, homemade cakes and a variety of stalls selling dog treats, accessories and more.

Saturday 27th April, 11 am to 3 pm - Spring Tails Walk, The Crown Inn, Walkers Ln, Shorwell, PO30 3JZ

Following its success last year, the Spring Tails Walk is back in aid of Ability Dogs 4 Young People, hosted again by Buddy Bix doggy bakery. Come along with your dog, or just with friends, to join the walk. There will be a variety of stalls, plus a raffle, ice cream stand, and food served in The Crown pub. We will be there with games to play, and lots of our puppies to meet.

Sunday 5th May, 11 am to 3 pm - The Donkey Sanctuary Spring Fete, Lower Winstone Farm, Ventnor, PO38 3AA

This annual fun event at the Donkey Sanctuary is back for 2024, and we are delighted to be joining them. There will be plenty of stalls and a variety of entertainment. Please come and say hello if you’re there – we will have games to play and some of our puppies to meet.

Saturday 8th & Sunday 9th June, 10 am to 4 pm - Ability Dogs 4 Young People Open Weekend Gala, Training Centre, Sandown Airport, Lake, PO36 0JP

This year we are hoping our Open Weekend will be bigger and better than ever! A great opportunity to come and see the work we do. We will have a variety of stalls, delicious food, entertainment and, of course, many of our Ability Dogs, Team Dogs and puppies in training. We will run three demonstrations each day which are not to be missed.

Saturday 6th July, 2 pm start - Charity Football Match, McCarthy’s, Fairway Holiday Park, The Fairway, Sandown, PO36 9PS

Join the post-match celebrations with entertainment, BBQ and a variety of stalls, all in aid of Island charities. Ability Dogs 4 Young People will be there with a soft toy tombola, bottle tombola, lucky dip and our puppies in training to meet.

Sunday 7th July, 11 am to 4 pm - Vectis Historical Vehicle Club Open Day, Arreton Barns, Main Road, Arreton, PO30 3AA

We are delighted to be joining the Vectis Historical Vehicle Club once again as they put on their fantastic display of classic cars. There will be a variety of other stalls there including food and drink. There will be Ability Dog puppies to meet at our stall as well as games to play.

Saturday 13th & Sunday 14th July, 10 am to 5 pm - Royal Isle of Wight County Show, Northwood, PO30 5TP

Come and see us at this fantastic traditional County Show – we’ll be there alongside other charities and trades including farming and livestock, local produce and crafts. Our puppies will be putting on two demonstrations each day to show how we train our Ability Dogs to help people.

Saturday 20th & Sunday 21st July, time to be confirmed - Festival of Heroes, County Showground, Northwood, PO30 5TP

Come and say hello at this fantastic family day out, where you can have the opportunity to meet characters including princesses, superheroes, dinosaurs and story book characters. Ability Dogs 4 Young People will be there with games for all ages, things to buy, as well as our puppies in training to meet.

Saturday 3rd & Sunday 4th August, 10 am until 5 pm - Chale Show, Chale Recreation Ground, Military Road, Chale, PO38 2JE

Enjoy a wide selection of delicious local produce, fascinating displays and presentations, crafts stalls, rides and a great community atmosphere. Come and visit us at our stand and meet some of our puppies in training and chat to our friendly volunteers.

Sunday 11th August, time to be confirmed - Tea in the Garden, Autumn Leaves, Station Road, Ashey, PO33 4BU (off Gatehouse Road/Deacons Lane)

Tea in the Garden will feature a cream tea included in your ticket, live music, a raffle and a variety of stalls and stands with games and things to buy. This event also features an exhibition of model railways for any fans of locomotives! This event is kindly raising money for Ability Dogs 4 Young People – we will be there with games to play and plenty of puppies to say hello to.

Saturday 17th & Sunday 18th August, 10 am to 6 pm – The Isle of Wight Garlic Festival, Fighting Cocks Crossroads, Bathingbourne Lane, Sandown, PO36 0LU

With live music, children’s activities and garlic galore, this show is not to be missed! We will be there alongside the other trades and charities. We will have our usual fundraising games, with things for you to buy and puppies for you to meet.

Monday 26th August, 12 pm to 4 pm – Isle of Wight Community Club Open Day, IoW Community Club, Park Road, Cowes, PO31 7NP

A fun-filled afternoon at the IoW Community club in Cowes – there will be bouncy castles, messy play, vintage amusements, ice-cream, Irish dancing, live music and more! We will be there with our much-loved soft toy tombola, a fantastic bottle tombola, our mystery box games, things to buy and, of course, some of our lovely puppies in training for you to meet.

Saturday 31st August & Sunday 1st September, 10 am to 5 pm - Wolverton Manor Garden Fair, Shorwell, Newport, PO30 3JS

Come and see us at the Island’s largest traditional garden fair, with craft stalls, dancing, cooking demonstrations, classic car displays, woodcarving, archery and much more. We will be there with games to play, things to buy and puppies to meet! We will also be putting on two demonstrations per day to show just how our Ability Dogs can help people.

An event to celebrate all things canine – including food and drink, a dog show and many doggy stalls and stands, this weekend is not to be missed by dog lovers! We will be there with games to play (including mystery boxes for dogs), things to buy and our lovely puppies in training to meet – please come and say hello.
